Vision Thing Reissue

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

My copy of Visioin Thing does skip during Something Fast.

The least remarkable of the three reissues, but I'm happy to have heard the extended version of Dr Jeep for the first time.

No but it appears to me that the ones for Holland (and also Belgium) do not contain skippings. You might give it a try at bol.com. :)

Yes but make sure you look for "speciale uitgave". Just search for the girls and click the "speciale uitgave" ones. You might have to ask if they deliver abroad. :)

I can just see it now...

For sale, The Sisters of Mercy - Vision Thing (rare first pressing with skips). €5,000.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

And no skips on my disc, ordered from www.proxis.be

It took a bit longer to receive VT ( FALAA and FLoodland arrived 2 weeks earlier...), so maybe they saw their mistake and made new ones?

Hehe.. so, now it's not "who got it without skips?" it's "who's the lucky one with skips?". I got both. ;D
Still needs a new Vision Thing, a wrapped one.

Mine doesn't skip either; at least not on my Mac.

It might help that I first ripped the CD to AIFF (with error-correction on), and now am playing the AIFFs, rather than playing the CD on the fly.

Mine skips.

This one is my least fave of the re-issues. At least FALAA has SKOS (early) & Floodland has the extended Neverland.

This offers nothing new.

Anyway, I like what a few of you have done in this topic with the whole 'yay, boo' thing so here's my take...

Vision Thing - YAY
Ribbons - YAY
Detonation Boulevard - BOO
Something Fast - YAY
WYDSM - BOO
Doctor Jeep - YAY
More - YAY
I Was Wrong - YAY

& a special YAY for You Could Be The One.

This skip / non-skip thing could be down to different CD players. I've got about 5 different machines I could test the disk on at home...

Not sure about that. I've got two copies, one that skips and one that doesn't - on the same player (on stereo and PC). :?
