Post your reviews of Sisters-related material or interviews with Sisters-related musicians here. And don't believe the hype: 1985 most definitely is a fashion statement.

didn't he used to be quite good, ooooooh, many many years ago?¿?¿?

dark entries, terror couple....., bella lagosi is dead, etc etc, etc

then him 'n' pete murphy had a spat of von/hussey proportions from which pete murphy was never really seen again (i seem to remember a story in the NME many years ago, interview with pete murphy in south america, him licking toads, that kind of thing?¿?¿ (maybe/maybe not) new album (maybe/maybe not) etc etc¿?¿?)

anyway, bauhaus and some famous tart who couldn't sing doing 'waiting for my man', probably one of the most awfully (as in really bad) wonderful live tracks of the 80's (to almost rank along side to ANY live recording of the sisters before, ooooh, 1985/6 (i have some recordings of an early us tour where i swear to god von is actually dead and thier passing a small electrical current accross his vocal cords to make a noise, singing?¿?¿ not bloody likely, mumbling, maybe?¿? but singing, ha!!

still - 'sell the wife 'n' tell the kids i'm not coming home!' people don't have jolly japes like that anymore!

you can't imagine britany fuggin spears ringing someone from the NME who lives in london at 4am in the morning, then saying 'I've got something really really important to tell you, oh s**t, sorry about that, i forgot about the time difference' then putting the phone down.......... only for said journalist to find out the next day the sisters played manchester the night before, i mean, that's a jolly jape if ever there was one!

anyway, yes, going abit OT, sorry about that, maybe i should go and lie down for a bit now :)
++++ All those of you who have tears, prepare to shed them now... ++++

girls will be girls!

so what about that reunion tour they did a couple of years ago? one assumes hatchets were buried in places other than tops of heads prior to this?

they even managed to get on well enough to record a (rather spiffing) studio cover of dead can dance's "severance"!

go figure.

would that be the 83 LA gig or the "floorshow" 84 boot (cant reember location)? the floorshow one is *ahem* a little lacking in verve and vigour shall we say? even when played back a little faster (the boot itself is a slow recording - you need to play it back at +5 or something like that) its still sounds like the most of the band where on mogadon!
still - 'sell the wife 'n' tell the kids i'm not coming home!' people don't have jolly japes like that anymore!
alas not. and von is in the unfortunate position of most of the rest of the world not giving a toss anymore either!

the sisters? still musically relevant? oooh, now THERE'S a thread!

there is a certain element of class missing from most pop japes these days isn't there
