Hello,
I've been a Sisters fan since the geeky awkard teen years (circa 1986). Recently stumbled on a blurb regarding the UK re-issues and decided to do a bit of internet information spelunking about my old favorite band. Ultimately found you guys.
Just want to say thanks for maintaining the Sisters legacy and wikis in lieu of the actual band members doing it themselves. And (I'm assuming) seeding the plethora of Sisters boots available on torrent. Back in the day, us California folk used to get totally ripped of by the record dealers for imported Sisters boots. The torrents were really my first exposure to the live performances. Awesome.
I never new Gary Marx was so instrumental (bad pun) to the band, until I heard the boots. Always thought it was Wayne. Hah! Thanks for proving me wrong. I absolutely love Marx's guitar.
Why a band can't pull it together after a 20 year squabble and put their house in order is beyond me, but I'll save that 10,000 word rant for, well, never.
My overall feeling is that if Marx and, what is it, Von?, could make amends and regroup, the Sisters could still have a shot at being recognized one of the greatest rock bands to emerge from the 80s. Reclaim the title, so to speak (and problaby rake in the $$$). The Stooges, the Stones, Suicide, Dylan, Zep, even Pink Floyd has regrouped and played live (don't know about hot chocolate).
Anyways, preaching to the converted I guess. Thanks for existing.
David

Lots of geeky awkward teen year fans around, methinks (and being a proud one myself). After all, it was the 80's, right? Which alternatives did we really have? There's always room for one more. Dobrodosli...
