Lemmy is sponsoring an under 10 footy team-Greenbank 'B' team, second in division 2 of the Mid Lincs Youth Leaque
What/Who should sponsor?

A team that doesn't do anything? Competitive sitting, maybe?

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Didn't really know them as such, but they used to haunt the same places I did in the mid 80's in Brum.Saw their first few gigs at The Mermaid and used to catch the same bus with some of them.Might have even spoke to them, but in those days I spent my evenings full of snake bite and wizz,so its all a bit blurry.emilystrange wrote:did you know any of fuzzbox?
They were great before they got famous-couldn't play a note live, just looked good a made a splendid noise.

I still have their wonderful appearance on OGWT, before the 'hit machine' got a hold of them and fecked them up

Ahhh, Fuzzbox, used to bump into 'em alot in Oasis and The Barrel Organ in Brum.
I remember when they were on some Saturday morning kids tv show, doing that 'International Rescue' song, after the song they were interviewed, the camera angle was floor level and you could see right up Vixs' skirt/belt, lo and behold she was going 'commando' , unfortunatly I had stopped my video recorder after the song. It even made the papers the next day.
Apparently she now does 'adult' films, alledgedly.

If anyone's seen the Goffik team at Whitby, there's another reason why our Paramount Leader won't get involved in sports.

Bit of an old Brumgoth reunion going on here.Did you know the Barrel organ was torched as well earlier this year(admitedly it had been an Irish theme bar for 15 years)? But I'm telling you the bouncers should start searching people for incendiary devices at The Giffard, its the only place left in the West Mids now.emilystrange wrote:the barrel organ?? ooo.. i spent a fab new year there! and oasis.. *sigh* good times
Oasis is still alive if heading toward the Emo,but I've heard rumours that its going to be "redeveloped" shortly as well which means we loose the Academy as well(Happy days when it was The Hummingbird).Obviously Brum needs more million pound apartments and office space
