As I usually need a good excuse to go out on the razz, this is as good as any.
So who fancies a night out round town sometime next month? It'd be rude not to head for the subculture at some point, but we can worry about the small print later.
Names, possible dates, boozers...? Fire at will, people.
Xmas in Leeds

Obviously the subculture (nae fighting is the only option )
Dry Dock is always a good 'un, namely as it's the only one I know...
So date wise that leaves from a December on a Saturday perspective:

Good plan Dave.
Might be a bit short notice; I shall consult my social secretary.

I'll check the 9th and 23rd. Mulled wine indeed! I like the cut of your jib, Sarah.
But, you know, it doesn't have to be a Saturday. There are 6 other days to choose from in yer average week.
Alister? Derek? R&R? SintasticSinister? Everyone else in / around / nowhere near Leeds? All the quiet ones who live here? We don't bite (unless specifically requested)

9th or 23rd are probably OK, but I'll have to check with the missus.

Sounds like a plan to me.
I'll let everyone else quabble over dates. I have nothing planned next month that can't be cancelled/accidently forgotten about so I'll come whatever date its gonna be on.
I can almost feel the hangover already.

Preliminary investigations reveal the 9th as a likely looking date, so far as Sauturday's go. But feel free to suggest / demand other dates...

9th is good.
What about Michael (Jansen) & Francis? Haven't seen them on here for a while. They still about?

Oh aye, the only one I can't make is the 16th as I'm at the Bunnymen gig the night before in Liverpool and staying the weekend with a friendPlanet Dave wrote:Alister? Derek? R&R? SintasticSinister? The 9th might be a problem as I'm possibly going over to Ireland that weekend, but not sure if this is a go-er yet.
I shall let ye's ken

As we're sorting out Xmas events, don't suppose anyone is going to Ron Maiden gig in London on 23rd Dec?
Not really my thing, but a friend has got me a ticket.
Could manage a few drinks pre-venue!

We know. Any midweek days suit, Mr BiteYer Ankles? A Friday, perchance? Otherwise, we'll simply sing anti-sheep songs in your honour.Norman Hunter wrote:Can I give you a cardboard cut-out of myself to take around with you? It can drink more than me...

I saw Michael in the Pub on Saturday; I'm 99% sure that I've got his phone number so I could give him a text.Purple Light wrote:9th is good.

The 'nothing planned that can't be.... blah blah blah' bit is not strictly true. I can't do the 16th, I forgot. Off to watch The Pogues in Manchester & I can't cancel going to see Shane MacGowan, it could be the last time I'll see him as he's bound to die soon.Purple Light wrote:Sounds like a plan to me.

Quite happy to do a Friday if it means Norm comes.
@ Markfiend - Let us know if he'll come out to play if he replies.

Will see what I can do. Mrs Hunter is also entitled to some Xmas banter away from young Jessica, so will see what I can arrange.

Think you best had come along Sarah, as there's no chance of getting me in your gaff for an 80s night, unless it's 4 hours of This Corrosion & Master Of Puppets .
But yeah, silly girl, ALL are welcome. That means you.
