Die Laughing

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Somewhere between All About Eve and Ghost Dance...

I wouldn't normally do this, but can anyone help me beg, borrow, steal, buy, trade or download a copy of Die Laughing's album "Incarnations - A Retrospective"?

I used to have this. I don't recall lending it to anyone. I don't remember losing it. But can I find it?

Any help gratefully received...

They were pretty good. My friends band supported them a couple of times.

I know a couple of people who may have a copy. if no-one can reply to this in the next couple of days, I'll try and track them down and see if they have a copy.

Well it's good to know that neither of us is the type of person to 'borrow' something and still have it several months later.

Listened to Reise, Reise lately? :innocent:

Bloody hell, it just turned up. ;D

Strangely, it seems to be one of the discs in a 3 CD box set called "A Darker Shade Of Goth". The other two discs are a "RetailSLUT" compilation and a CD from someone calling himself "Eerie Von".

I now just have to contend with the fact that the Die Laughing jewel case booklet has somehow become glued to the front of the Die Laughing CD.

Why is my life never straightforward...?

Would that be the same Eerie Von who played with Satan's Love Oaf in Danzig and Samhain? If so, I had no idea that he ever did a solo record. How bad is it? I'm pretty sure he started out as a Misfits hanger-on who then got called up to the big-league game in Samhain and Danzig.

You're right.

The album I've got ("The Blood And The Body") actually isn't that bad. It reminds me of this:

I won't bother inviting James Blast's opinions on the sleeve design and typeface on that one...

I discovered them today. I have just put a bid in on Glamour and Suicide on ebay.

Now I need to find Heaven in Decline. I really like what I have heard (found their myspace account)
