Xmas in Leeds

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I hate to do this to you good people but I'm going to have to bow out of this evening of festivities. I'm flying to Belfast at 7am the following morning, which means a 5am taxi, which means an early night on the Friday :(

I will expect a full run down of any misdemeanours though

New Year in Leeds anyone? :innocent:

Well they damn well ought to. ;D

Anyway, I guess the 8th is actually pretty close, so if anyone wants to suggest a time for the Fenton, fire away. I can be there whenever. :D

I'll try to get there as soon as I can after I finish work at 5. It'll probably take me 15 to 20 minutes to walk up there from The Calls. *shrug*

Straight from work! Good form Mark. :notworthy: :notworthy: :P

And nice precedent set. 'but eveyone's gonna be there from 5, love. I can't be late. See you tomorrow!'

I think those 'retired bouncers' are actually the crew from the Grand Theatre!!

I'll see if I can sneak off early (now working in Northampton :? ... ) on the 8th to see if I can meet up for a few shandies.

Angel is OK on a Friday, mainly because even at 80p a pint there is a limit to how much Sam Smiths it is possible to drink without getting a nasty metallic taste in your mouth that stays with you for days no matter how much gin you drink afterwards, and an an even lower limit before you realise how much nicer Ayingerbrau tastes coming back up than it ever did going down....

Not too many though as Leeds are 'entertaining' Derby on Saturday so I'll be in the pub at 12 to ensure sufficient anaestetic has been consumed to get me to the pub afterwards with the minimum of sobriety induced distress

I'm sure Derby and their fans will be thoroughly entertained by their trip to Mary Ellen Rd, Mik.

Know what you mean about the lager in the Angel, was there today and that self-same persistent taste is persisting. :urff: Still, t'Fenton is where it's at on the 8th. See you in there. 8)
