Best Single Ever?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

loud enough to knock you down
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

Enough about best singles already.

How about the WORST single you own?

Everyone has, hiding at the back of a wardrobe somewhere, a true abomination, a crime against God and nature

and then you find it, you thought you'd lost it, but no, it returns to haunt you, and you are compelled to give it a spin on your dusty old record player
MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Where was I? oh yeah, what's the most embarrassing single you all bought, and don't have the heart to throw away?

mine's 'Vanilla Ice - Satisfaction'
a true abomination, everyone only remembers Vanilla ice for 'Ice Ice baby', few people are actually aware he also released the WORST cover version of all time
just thinking about it makes me sick

I once bought a Bauhaus record secondhand. Hidden inside the innver sleeve was a Polka 7".

I can't remember the "artist's" name, but it's got 3 tracks on it with names like "Polka Yodel Blues". I keep it handy in case Mars ever decides to attack.

I'm quite keen to hear that Satisfaction cover...

Worst one? HA...my entire collection has been viliefied and chuckled at over a number of years...

Saying that I DID refuse to by Boney M's Rivers of Babylon after bying every other bloody single by them....

Does this make me a 'good' person?

I found the single! It's by some guy called Elton Britt, has a green picture sleeve with some guy wearing his finest cowboy gear with his foot resting on a guitar.

The tracklisting is:
The Yodel Blues
Chime Bells
Cannonball Yodel
Tennessee Yodel Polka

Which is guite a good tracklisting for a 7"
