Way to go Monty

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

A Michelle Pfeiffer in your first Ashes Test, Monty my boy, we're behind you like you could not believe.

If Monty can get 5-for on that pitch, imagine the damage Warne's going to do later in the match... </doomsayer>

Less of the doomsaying!

I'm sure we'll find some way to pluck defeat from the jaws of victory (or more likely a draw..) on day 5

No matter what the outcome, I'm chuffed to bits for the lad to have made his point so emphatically. Now he can be picked on merit, not just for fielding entertainment.

Aye, true that.

He seems like such a down-to-earth chap too.

And it's nice to see people with brown skin in the papers doing stuff other than blowing people up or being blown up.

When will people realise, it's not where you're from, it's where you're at. (scouse b*******ds excepted, naturally    )

Apparently he got a good ovation from the crowd before his first over. Which is nice. 'Thanks everyone, now watch as I trash your batsmen.' :P

It's great to see a Sikh and a Muslim both born in England playing for their country and picked on merit (won't mention South African cricket) I know they played together earlier in the summer but this is now and it means more when it's the Ashes!
