Berlin...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Jess'll know. If it's still there, Cafe Zapata will probably be worth a visit, but erm, yeah, ask Jess (Ms Docre, Queen Of Lingerie :notworthy: ).

to tell you the truth: Berlin sucks for New Years Eve.
I've the choice between either partying with good friends privately at home, which means couples boring themselves over to the New Year, yawning at 12:05 and mumbling something about babysitter or other and leaving quickly....
Or partying in a club with drunken masses for an ridiculously amount of money, cause clubs/pubs/restaurants tend to charge 30€ alone for being so courteous to be open....

So I'm choosing this year first the first option and later the second option. :urff: ;D

If you want recommendations that make more sense, pm me what you're looking for...

That sounds the same as New Years the whole world over.

A more depressing holiday I have yet to find. Everywhere is filled with "amateur drinkers" on their one night out a year, vomiting in the back of taxis.

I thought the same thing when typing it. It's maybe just that everyone expects it to be so much better in a big town like Berlin, but...err....no.

And THEN I made the mistake to, simultaneously:

-read that sentence
-drink a large cuppa coffee
-look at your avatar
