They took me a couple of days to download too. How are they off for seeders at the moment? I can seed again if necessary.
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

I'm a bit new to this , but it seems to say "Seeds: 2, Peers: 1 (Total seeds/peers: 51/23)", whatever that means...markfiend wrote:How are they off for seeders at the moment?

I got both low res versions from www.demonoid.com overnight.
I thought it was a bit dissapointing. WTF was up with Mr. Teatime?! And his silly voice. Bleh. Susan wasn't terrifying enough and why is all the fuss about the fact David Jason is in it when not only is he playing a very minor part, but he's also rubbish and totally mis-cast in it.
Bah!
Bah!

Well, I've seen the first part now, and DLing the second part, which I will watch within two hours or so
I'm all with MarkFiend here, enjoyed it quite a bit! Maybe because me and the Missus are big Pratchett fans as well, and are also used to his humour (and I mean ALL his humour, coz we got ALL his books hehe).
Some minor points:
-Susan is a complete mis-casting. She looks more like a stern but worried young mother than a granddaughter of Death. She has to be more cool and reserved, more I-don't-give-a-feckness factor. Big thumbs down, because she has a big part in the movie, so I have to watch her face way too often and thus she annoys me a lot.
-The Voice of Death does a good job, but I fear I've been heavily spoiled with hearing Christopher Lee doing Death's Voice on the 'Soul Music' cartoon... Now THAT was how I always imagined Death!
This guy is sometimes quite happy-souding and I'm not talking about the times he tries to be more Hogfather-ly. But he'll do.
-The Auditors reminded me of the Marx Brothers, and two of them act all silly as if they are several aces short of a full stack. They have to be neutral, reserved, and COOL.
-Teatime's trademark laughter just does not work for me.
-what the FECK were they thinking when they gave the 'Tooth Guards' that silly helmet? It looks like Willy Wonka and the Colgate Factory!
The nice stuff:
-almost followed the book to the letter, which is never bad of course! even the Money Pulleys in the Mall are there, and the Pig doing a wee...
-I really liked Nobby Nobbs, although he shows off his false teeth just a bit too often. But Nobbs/Visit works very well!
-Albert is also very nice, and I really hope they give him a fag at the end of this series... poor lad
-I did like the Archchancellor a lot, he even LOOKS the part, IMO. Not so sure about the others, tho... Although Ponder Stibbons is quite OK. And so is HEX
-and, apart from his laughter, Teatime is very good. It took me a while to 'get into' him, he looks quite different as I would picture him, but...well...it works. The little mannerisms, his air, his speech (with the pauses and the volume changes), very good effort and well thought out IMO.
Now waiting for the second part to DL.
And MAKE a WHOLE MOVIE, someone!

as i only saw half of the second half, my thoughts are :
didn't DEATH look naff?
and
didn't his grand-daughter look hot.
didn't DEATH look naff?
and
didn't his grand-daughter look hot.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"
