I've managed to avoid any fun with flames so far. I have fell asleep a few times watching the cricket and giving him a bottle. They do bounce fairly well though.Planet Dave wrote:Hom_Corleone wrote: A book on how to be a good Dad.

All is well thanks Dave - although I am looking forward to the time when he sleeps through comes.

The Plane is a life size replica of the model she stole fae the bank-the one with all the sentimental value. I did try for a life size Kate, but it was not possiblerobertzombie wrote:Why is Kate much bigger than the plane?

I haven't read many of my Christmas presents yet. I've been drawn to Kant's Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals like a magnet and I can't put it down. I keep reading it, trying to make sense out of it (it does make sense, Kant's just a very, very, very bad, opaque writer). I'll probably have it remembered off by heart by the time I'm done with it.
I've also used some of my Christmas money to buy Utilitarianism by Mill and Five Dialogues: Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, Meno, Phaedo by Plato, which I am especially looking forward to. Read the Republic by Plato and Euthyphro before and I love Plato's writing style. Reading his dialogs, it's like you're in the room, listening to Socrates speak firsthand. He's really quite something special and piques your interest in everything from virtue, justice, to the theory of forms, et all. So I expect the book of Plato's I've ordered will be, along with Kant's Groundwork, another book I'll have remembered off by heart. Nice short works that get one thinking.
And looking through this post on preview, I realize I've used italics way too much.
Oh well.
Cheers,
NTS.
