I Need All The Love I Can Get DEMO

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I am by a public computer, so (although here are even speakers) I'm afraid to check it. Maybe people would think I enjoy it.

Actually, I don't think so. :D That clip is from a Wuthering Heights movie remake by MTV, and the soundrack consisted of Jim Steinman songs. "More" was in there (I think it's on the soundtrack CD), and the song being sung is Eldritch's version, not that crazy Catwoman one.

There were two covers done for the movie, too--one by "Heathcliff" and one by "Catherine"; the woman's is by far the better of the two, although they're both kind of bleh. But, then again, I've never found full versions of either!

I don't know if you should consider that better or worse than the Catwoman cover.

In any case, don't ever watch the movie. Afterwards, I felt extremely sorry for Mr. Eldritch AND Miss Brontë (even though I wasn't too fond of the novel). MTV just mauled everything.

Yes it's two completely different versions:

-MORE is featured in the film WUTHERING HEIGHTS (2003)
Written by Andrew Eldritch & Jim Steinman
Arranged by Jim Steinman & Jeff Bova
Performed by Erika Christensen & Mike Vogel
Produced by Jim Steinman
Co-produced by Steven Rinkoff & Jeff Bova

-I Need All The Love I Can Get DEMO from BATMAN THE MUSICAL (2002)
Written by Jim Steinman
Performed by Karine Hannah
Produced by Jim Steinman
Co-produced by Steven Rinkoff

For more info on the WUTHERING HEIGHTS soundtrack go here:

I have the soundtrack. The new 2003 WUTHERING HEIGHTS version is hard rock (the vocals are pop though). It's even harder than the Sisters' version. It's a actually a remixed version based on the the original Sisters version. I believe that Steinman used the original mastertape for this!
It's worth a listen. I think u will like it much better than Steinman's musical version.
I still prefer the originally Sisters version from 1990, which is a true classic.

I'm glad at least one like the demos. I know they are not the style of music regular Sisters fans listen to.
There is one more BATMAN demo I would like to share if someone like to listen? It's called: CRY TO HEAVEN.

Cheers

At first, I was scared. Then, I listened, and it rated a 93.2 on my patented Bombast-o-Meter and I decided I rather like it. Eveyday listening? No; but not bad, not bad at all.

For those who wants the "Cry To Heaven" Steinman demo:

http://media.jimsteinman.com/audio/CryToHeaven.mp3

Voice: Kyle Gordon
Production: Jim Steinman and Steven Rinkoff

BTW at the moment I really enjoy the new expanded and remastered version of "Floodland" and "Vision Thing". Cool notes and sleeve design. The CDs sound better than ever :notworthy:

..which answers all the questions what Andrew does in his spare time.

Jepp, edit (in a somewhat trigger happy mood, I should post when I finished thinking..): On his spare time, Andrew tours with the Sisters.
I do have a weak spot for musicals. I wouldn´t say those demos are bad.
Though that "Land of the pig"-thingy somwhat reminds of Peter And The Wolf..

I've got 10 words for it : It starts to rock quite a bit after seven minutes.

Strange but slightly listenable, I suppose. :?

I agree the last 2-3 minuts of "I Need All The Love I Can Get" are the best part.

Are there any Sisters demos of "More"????
I know there are some remixes in techno-style...but they suck.

I know there are some remixes in techno-style...but frankly I don't care that much for those.
VT-era demos have never slipped out, unless someone like PiB has them. Which is possible, as he hasn't announced it to the world.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I wonder what it would've sounded like with Ertha Kit doing the vocals instead...

I actually quite like this {Shame Mode}, although Von now needs to cover I Would Do Anything For Love in the name of universal balance. It's just the right thing to do.
