All Living Fear - Fifteen Years After its out now! 25-9-7

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

On the 1st of September 2007 it will be the fifteenth anniversary of All
Living Fear's first gig at the Parrot pub in Torquay. The Parrot is now a
block of flats but All Living Fear are standing fifteen years on.

To celebrate this fact All Living Fear will be making a very special album
to celebrate this fact, we are going into the back catalogue and recording
the best of the bands output for a brand new album. This is not just re
workings of the bands best know tracks, we have many guest artists to
including so far confirmed;

Misty Woods (JuJu Babies/ GDM)
Arthur Brown
Christian Riou (Claytown Troupe)
Nick Pynn (Violin)
and from Balaam and the Angel Des Morris (Drums).
More Guests TBA

There will also be club remixes of some tracks by Porl King
(Misery:Lab/Rosetta Stone) and More TBA

To make this album really special we are also pleased to announce that we
will also have guest contributions from Steven Howson (All Living Fear's
first vocalist whom never properly recorded with the band, But you all know who he is dont you :) ) and Paul Roe.

To go with this, Matthew is documenting every show that the band has
performed and in the coming months the whole story will be on the web site
along with every single photograph that as been taken of the band, you will
also find the the coming months several of the bands concerts from over the
years online and free to download.

All Living Fear will be playing a number of concerts through the year many
club shows between January and March and then larger gigs from September to
October climaxing in a special show that is being filmed for DVD Releases
and for Television.

In the meantime Myspace users can find all the latest news on our page
http://www.myspace.com/alllivingfear and also don't forget to sign up to the
bands mailing list from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/alllivingfear/ .

Best wishes

I think this is worthy of a sticky!

I have a strong suspicion we played with you at the first Underworld in manchester once. I may however be entirely wrong. Luckily we passed our 15th anniversary last year without setting ourselves up for the inevitable fall of trying to mark it ;)

Were you in the band Psycho TV then? that was the 3rd band on the bill when we played there in 1995 With James Rays Gangwar, the second time was in 96 where we supported Inkubus SUkkubus with Methadream as the opener.

Then I stand corrected! We did play with James Ray, but that was at the Banshee and I think we were the only support as I recall. THere was someone we played with at the Underworld when it was still downstairs at Jilly's that I thought was you. Any ideas Barry?

And who was in Psycho TV? I remember the name - wasn't Phil's post-Carbonize effort was it? Seem to recall thinking it was a bit lame to name your band by dropping two letters off Psychic TV and adding a new vowel...

Also just realised our first gig was 92, not 91, so in fact we still have time to shoot ourselves in the foot. Actually saw Tom on Saturday. The possibility of a reunion was discussed. About 2030 was mooted ;)

Yeah - I used to do that hoarding ting too, but had a massive clearout when I finally moved after 13 years in the old one!

Incidentally, I'm still doing music, but breaks now (makes sense - we were always more grebo than goth really, and PWEI/GBOA/EMF all surfaced doing breaks stuff, so why not me? Not really the thread for it, so sorry for the hijack, but I suspect interest would be insufficient to warrant a thread of its own!)
