Around 1991 / 1992 I recall hearing a single by a US goth group - I think the song was called 'The Storm' - which went something along the lines :-
'the storm is forming, watch the clouds blow in, if the lesson is life, let the lesson begin'.
The song was totally 'sisters', complete with lucretia-style bassline & deep doomy vocals, ala the good captain. I've tried in vain to find out who the group is / was, has anyone got any ideas ? I think the group were from Memphis ( ? ), but I could be wrong.
Someone suggested to me previously it might be The Wake, but having acquired their 'Masked' album I can say it's not them !
If someone can solve this mystery I will add them to my Christmas card list. Cheers !
The Storm - any idea who recorded this single ??

Could be Faith And The Muse, maybe? Their album "Anwyn, Beneath The Waves" comes to mind...

Almost definitely not 'The Storm' you're on about, but the one I'd have been on about would be by World of Twist.
