studio photos?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

It struck me that I don't think I've ever seen any photos taken of the Sisters in the studio. Or just the equipment, instruments... would be nice if you can help me out!?

That would be photographic evidence that the Sisters visit (gasp!) recording studios.

Can't be having that. ;D

Meanwhile, here's Von with the Violets:

Mh, that is a damn fine picture.

No, not Von & the Violets.... your avatar!!!

I think that "Who Has The Best Avatar Now" topic has a new entry at Number 1.

Anyway, that's the only piccy I've ever seen of Von in a studio too.

That's not Von in the bottom right-hand corner, that's Lazarus Churchyard!

I used to think that the guy giving the opposite of the peace sign was Von until I spotted him in the bottom right-hand corner.

Surely the guy who posted the 'Corrosion' demo has pics from the studio - he claims to have been there whilst recording the Sisterhood lp.

Trading section, a ton of links.

See, this is what you get for not reading the more specialist sections of the forum, NTS.

Listening to it now, and I have to say I prefer it to the mastered version because of the electronic sound.

And now that you remind me, I've seen a photo years and years ago of the 84/85 band with a load of guitars (including Von holding one) and a real drumkit in the background. Doubtful if it was a studio (the total lack of any recording equipment was the big clue here) but still looked strange at the time.

Pity I've no idea where it was I saw it.
