Having friends with totally diff music tastes

At first i found it so hard to connect as music and the enjoyment off is such a big part of my life. But we did'nt have this in common but i am finding this a strength within are friendship any thoughts or have you came across the same issue

I got asked to recite some of my favourite lyrics, recited all of “The End� by The Doors and got asked “Is that like Gothic music or something?�.

I almost smashed my head against a wall… and then I did when he started playing tacky hip hop and said “this is real music�.

My bessy friend is a massive Kylie fan so you couldnt get so far removed form my music taste, and we have heated chats offen(very) hate candy floss music lol but it seems very good for are friendship

What the devil is a head hun hugs? How peculiar.

Regarding music, there's precious few people outside of this place who have even heard of the Sisters, so music convo's with people in normal life have to take that on board. As Mr Lander said, it helps to have a wide and varied taste in music, but, you know, ultimately it doesn't, or shouldn't matter. If someone is a bit of an arse because they think your fave band is s**t, you probably don't wanna be talking to them anyway. If someone is open-minded, or at least unbothered, by such trivia, then game on.

Unless they like Travis, of course, in which case it's time to get out the big stick.

As for the original start of the thread - in exactly the same position with anyone that knows me too, mind you that is how I got to know most of this bunch and end up falling over a bridge in Daves' garden as it nearly got light and get to play top trumps with his kids, so only a good thing
