At a loose end?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

What do YOu do in your 'spare' time.

One of my classroom assistants claims she has to keep busy and threads beads of an evening. I have been known to fold paper and create little bits of object d'art. Gary does something with red leather in the summer months.

What do YOU do?

Folding bits of paper???? this isn't quite as sad as it may first appear. It's usually something I have to do in school and it helps to be fairly proficient...there's nowt worse than having your efforts ridiculed by a bunch of 7 year olds!

Hmmm. The thing I do most often is listen to music, ofcourse. I might try to paint, but suck to much at it  Sometimes I squize out a poem maybe, or try to write on my book, but sadly, on this I suck too. The internet, talking to people and trying to help them making webpages is the most new found thing to do, when passing time. And ofcourse be annoying :P

But mainly listen to music, and my favourite, find new bands to fall in love with.

In my "spare time" - of which i have much - I surf the web - for hours and hours and hours (you get the idea) -

I also like to grow luffahs (those fibre things you use in the bath / shower) - and I bet you all thought they were dryed out sea sponges - shame on you!

OH I forgot - I like to sleep as much as possible and avoid the sun!

Plus I also practice "passive avoidance" as often as possible ;-)

Hi Andy

Got any black luffahs then?

Just spent the last hour working out how to play Dominion on guitar - in essence very simple, in practice more tricky, but that's the clever bit I guess.

Been playing that Gary Marx album to death too, a real "grower".

Currently.... watch tonnes of Dr Who videos that have been aquired on the cheap.

I also tend to watch Babylon 5, Deep Space Nine, Star Trek Next Generation, Farscape, Buffy and Angel in cycles too.

I am VERY sad :)

If the weather is crap I tinker on my PC, either adding stuff to my website that no one ever looks at or just play whatever game I feel like. I might even rent a movie or go to the shops.

If the weather is good I try to get outside and soak up some sun. Either on the beach or up the mountain. I'm luckly like that.

I also enjoy making sure my cats don't want for anything.

Never had luck growing those damn things. made a few attempts in my highschool days cuz I thought they'd just be a really bizarre feature to have in the garden.

So ya, gardening would make the grade as well as spending an inordinate amount of time on the net(between midnight and 6 AM eastern), occasionally commit my vinyl to hard drive, endless hours of blasting music, frequenting clubs on an obsessive basis(4 times a week at most)as well as concerts.

I grow all sorts of vegetables. I have an allotment to keep (no, I'm not old) in some kind of order. Often as not, this actually just involves watching my frogs - watching me - watching them - for long periods of time. Which I enjoy. Sorry, but you asked...

Babylon 5 was always underrated. Sadly, timetabling prevented me from getting into Farscape, but I gather it's really good. How about Nikita?

Babylon 5 was and is indeed the best of the bunch! One of my very favourate shows for many reasons!
Farscape was shaping up nicely too.... till they cancelled it :(

Yeah, for example: "Androids had free time" or: "Mulder suspect the thing he had found was a piece of free time".
