a few som questions

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

1) about the songs missing off the "wake" video, i found "gimme shelter" on youtube but havent seen the final encore including "train", is this anywhere on the net to watch?

2) i only have one boot, that fab "disguised in black" one, worth it just for the SKINNY BASSSSTARD heckle!. but what are the best sisters live boots pre 1986 sound quality and performance wise? is "disguised in black" one of the best?

3) on the wake video what does von say before "rock and a hard place"? i worked out he says "and the answer is because it's there" before "floorshow" but i cant work out this other one

4) what is wayne's guitar fx equipment that he uses on the wake video? he has great sounds throughout

thanks for any answers

Disguised In Black is one of the best indeed.

Other nice boots with a good quality sound:
- Live In The Trojan Horse
- Knocking On Heavens Door
- Live In Amsterdam 1984

and others..... 8)

DIG was the first one I got & it is terrific.
The Darks were in Milan is also a good one (really good version of train on that!).
Trojan Horse is alright, but there is a distinct lack of guitar noise on it.

I have a boot vid of the RAH gig with Train on it. Unless someone can offer up a digital transfer of the missing stuff, then I'll try to transfer it if you like.

The rest, I don't know unfortunately.

Cheers.

There's quite a few good ones, and some really great ones. Have a look in the Sharing section, in particular the "Rush sharing" thread, and you should find more than enough to keep you going for a bit. :D

And welcome to HL!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Disguised in Black is indeed fab, my other top favourites to recommend you would be the London Lyceum gig , which is a very good soundboard recording, and the Nijmegen Doornroosje gig, for it's fantastic encores ... enjoy 8)
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

It's on VHS currently, but I will see if I can get it copied to dvd or something & upload it for sharing (the 3 missing tracks that is).
To be honest I haven't watched it for a while, but the 3 additionals are listed as:
Gimme Shelter (between Alice & Fix)
Train
Louie Louie.

Give me some time & I'll have it cracked.

Cheers.
