AVG Email Scanner

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Today I downloaded the full version of AVG (v. 7.5) but it says that the email scanning function is not installed.

Does anyone know how I can get the email scanner function to work?

Robert.

You have to check some boxes somewhere, depending on what program you're using IIRC, during the install, should work automatically afterwards...

Yup, I think that's it. Worked first time for me, no hassles, and integrates nicely with Thunderbird.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

FireFox 2.x is the best browser I ever used, so I was highly surprised and disappointed when I found out Thunderbird is the most utter crap that has ever been installed on my PC (apart from WinME) :urff:

Everything DISintegrates nicely with Thunderbird, in my experience!
