Mornington Crescent

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Tee hee! I am indeed thinking of the place in Norway called Hell. I particularly loved the postcards you could buy at Hell Railway Station which said 'Welcome to Hell!"...cool stuff

...AND it was the end of the line I seem to remember!!

(For the Brits/Northerners among us, yes I have indeed been to Hull, Hell AND Halifax...though not necessarily in that order!! )

However, I also seem to think that in Norwegian 'hell' means 'light' - go figure!!! ;D ;D ;D

(could be wrong though - s'been a while :innocent: )

And @ PiB...I think you've come up with a lifeline for somebody there... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

by the way, there is a settlement called Kunda in Estonia. once one humorist, a Czech or Slovak, can't remember, visited Estonia and asked to guide him to this place. no one understood why he was interested in it and why he started to send huge number of postcards there. later he explained -- word "kunda" means "c*nt" in his language ;D

That's odd 'cos I happen to know the scouse word 'hell' is synonymous with manchester & literally translates as "big up nothing"
