The Heartland Effect

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Living anywhere but Leeds or Glasgow or Belgium makes most of the jokes mystifying.

Of course, I've since realised that you are in fact a shower of bastards.

Generous bastards, but bastards nonethless.
but not a golden shower of bastards?

as a relative newby i have been met with nothing but pleasantness and gentle comeraderie

what is good is the the common thread of tsom that binds but does not actually limit the range of topics

finally where would we be without our troll to remind us of our foibles and keep the party going

Trees are good. They are beautyfull and produce the oxygen I need to breathe.
I hug them, for they deserve it!
I am against being against trees!

She was more of the Bonsai-variant, IIRC... Small, always needed tending, exotic, dumb as a plank...

And the 'leaves' came somewhere into the scenario as well. ;) But that might be because she was more into the birds fluttering around her

Hey, James, three pages without substantial derailment-That´s a good effort for Heartland standards, and derailment is part of the Heartland effect! So any thread that derails is, in a way, on topic!
It´s like an ecological cycle. There are bugs ´round here who will actively compost when there´s some Bulls**t posted and thus give the thread new life!
:D
Isn´t that just beautyfull?

results take quite a few days to come through Jürgen, even when your appointment gets cancelled because of a sick nurse :|

James, don´t make me come to Glesga and get you to Lier on a pushcart!

Na, seriously. There are more important things, that´s clear. I´d be very sorry if you couldn´t make it, but there are enough other reasons to go.
Only one of the other reasons also being from Glesga. I don´t know if I mentioned it yet, there is a slight chance that I may be in some kind of work soon, and in that case I think I´ll be able to join a McHeartlander´s in summer. You just get a bit more well, as well as it goes!
