Winterthur is a lovely little city in Switzerland and its my hometown. It was my first Sisters gig and i will never forget this day. Wonder who else was there...? And how did you like Winterthur? Any special memories?
By the way, today i got a recording of this gig of a very nice Heartlander - big thanks again man...
Winterthur Switzerland Gig 31th August 91 - who was there?
I've been there and it was my first Sisters gig too.
I remember that we had to drive on the hard shoulder through the "Brüttiseller Kreuz", cause there was heavy traffic jam and I didn't want to miss a second of the gig, we got stopped by the police and told them we had a problem with the engine so they let us pass.
We arrived there - Winterthur is lovely indeed (and has a great cultural "scene" especially for those who love punk) - and it was hot, and then Frank Tovey (or did he play as Fad Gadget?) went on stage and I passed out just because I was so excited.
Then The Sisters came onstage, and I had expected those black-clad gothics, instead I got to see Von in a white jacket (?) and I thought he was an arrogant git. BUT it was a great gig, they even played Possession if I remember correctly. Anyway, they played a wonderful gig and I was happy. And addicted. A year later I went to Hasselt (Pukkelpop festival) to see them and pass out again...

I hasten to add though that unlike other girls I didn't scream, let alone shout "Andy, ANDIE! I love you!".
It´s time for my coat, hm?

I don't remember that, but I remember an intro comment to a song (can't remember which, but it's on the boot) along the lines of life outside Switzerland being dominated by sex and violence... I thought that was quite funny...hippie-bullsh-t-hater wrote:Wasnt there, but its the only 91 boot where von says "This song

What Eva mentioned is before Ribbons, too.
And before Posession he says "this is about some people like you".
was in a quite talkative mood...

Hmm... anyone who was there remember if they played Temple of Love as last encore?
i just listened through the recording and decided that the TOL at the end doesn't quite sound like the rest of the gig...plus there's a silence before it so it could just be an extra song added to the tape imo.

I can hear the difference in volume and sound you're talking about. Maybe the guy who recorded it changed position. I can't really recall if they played TOL as last song but i think they did play it. TOL was my absolute favourite at the time and if they didn''t play it , i would have been really pissed off - but i wasn't pissed off at all after this concert. And this i remember for sure ...
Were Eva and me really the two only ones at this gig???

Is that the over-aged Sisters-fans' club?
No, it doesn't boether me at all that some people have had ages to go to their gigs. i'm not jealous.
