Always kind of liked this band....

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

If the house is crowded without a drummer, how are they going to call it when he´s in? Stuffed house?

Harmless enough, with decent tunes. The kind of band that I'd never stick a cd on, but will sing along quite merrily (and badly, natch) to on the radio. Bit like INXS in that respect. There's a pattern forming here.
There is increasing evidence to suggest that Chris may have been being sarcastic.

I was going to their farewll gig (yeah right) in Sydney back in 96. It was delayed due to to bad weather until the next night, and I couldnae get the time off work

Good for a laugh, and a damn fine live band.
Shame about the drummer, he was always good for a giggle.

If it makes you feel better, I share that shame about 2become1 too :innocent: .

For crowded house, it's one of those bands that make it possible to hang on a little more on dubious radio stations that you usually zap through while driving :). It's nice to know that they're trying to come back.

Saw them back in 92 at Rock Werchter. Raining all day but when the band started to play Weather With You the sun started to break through the clouds. A thing I never forgot.

I'm with Dave on this one, wouldn't be a "fan", but sometimes you just can't beat a good decent tune.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Aye, I'm a sucker for a good tune be it The Sisters, Niel Diamond, Motorhead or the Sugababes, a good tune is a good tune is a good tune.

didnt mind crowded house....but had the misfortune to be taken to a Neil Finn solo gig a good few years ago by an ex of mine.
Dull as dishwater.
He even murdered his own song - Dont Dream Its over was the encore, but he someone managed to even make that bland.
