Totally un related to anything sisters but I saw a new film called "Brick" at the weekend. Worst film I have ever seen in my life. Trys too hard to be cool and arty. Reviews are good, but is it just me or is this film a pile of stinking pants ??

Funnily enough this always seems to split people down the middle on the whole love/hate thing.
Me ? I thought it was excellent. So that's polarised thoughts even just from two of us !
Funny, some great twists and plenty of quoteworthy dialogue. Yeah, it's low budget, but that just helps it along for me.

I've seen it too.
Just checked imdb.com & it's got a 7.7 rating which is pretty damn good.
However, 7.7 rating or not... I'm in complete agreement with you. utter rubbish!!! I only watched it because Emilie De Ravin (Claire from Lost) is in it. Wish I hadn't bothered. Not my type of film whatsoever.

i guess it's directed by Steven Spielberg, so now having concluded the director from your notes, i can by virtue of experience and just a pinch of imagination say that i agree without having actually seen the film.

Purple Light, thank god, I thought I was alone in the world for a mo ! Also, you need to work on your triceps you look really lanky in that pic I can see why people might like it but the main lead seemed too cocky and unaffected by the death of his ex etc. Trying to be a little too cool. The only benefit I saw in that film was that maybe the lead guy would make a good Jeff Buckley in a film about Buckley but that's it !!
Gave it back to Blockbuster early as felt dirty with it in my posession
Thanks for the feedback though folks, interesting to see what peeps made of it.

You know, that guy (Greg Valentino) pumps/pumped oil into his biceps to make them bigger! Weirdo.
Anyway, back to Brick... I can understand why people would like it too, just like I can (just about) understand why people like Adam Sandler movies, but it's all personal choice at the end of the day innit.
Nice to hear of someone else who thought it was naff anyway.
