Happy Birthday Heartland

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I saw a telly ad for this new fangled Vista thingey tonight. Strikes me that I've been using a GUI like that for quite sometime now. I guess all peecee abusers are just cheap and won't pay for quality like us MacTypes.

Took ye only 23 years to catch up-ish. ;D

Welcome-ish.

Must admit I'm having quite a laugh at school being the only Mac laptop owner in class and a bunch of other guys constantly buggering me to tell it's no good  That's obviously why they made Vista after it

Already have done that

But then it's 'why install Windows then?', they'll just keep on going I'm afraid

macbooks have a motions sensor that can detect when your laptop gets a knock

its meant to park the harddrive to prevent data loss should you drop it

however, there's a bit of software that can hook into that sensor so you can use it to trigger other things

like switching between apps

a contractor we have here at work confused the hell out of tech support one day when they saw him using his macbook:

tech support: "we dont support hose on our network!!!"

contractor: "oh, ok!"

*whacks side of macbook*

tech support guy is confronted with a macbook that now appears to be running windows

that shut him up ;)

oh how we laughed ;D

That's great    Our school's network guys said they didn't support it as well, but I just had to do two clicks as to get on it whereas others have to install a whole lot of rubbish ;D

Found some cool stuff you might like too ;D There's an app you can use for opening programs, I've found Pong with tilt commands and something that makes the computer make Lightsabre noises whenever it gets moved around    There must be something that tilts your screen whenever you put it on its side, but I haven't found that one yet...

And Pros even seem to have a light detector in the speakers which you can use to operate the computer  :notworthy:
