Germantic cover of "Lights" on MySpace by Decence

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I wept.

Half-baked futurepop Funker Vogt wannabees raping the whole essence of the song for the temporary pleasure of jerky-perky goffs with fluo moustaches on a dodgy German Electro Event.

Despicable.

Not even good in a technical, musician-to-musician way.

Funniest moment of extreme cheezeey-ness:

"...I never ever wanted to hear....BUT I WANNA HEAR YOU!!!!!!!!!"
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

Exactly

It reminds of this German house/acid band where there
is this blond guy that keeps screaming stuff like "ARE YOU HAPPY"
and stuff. Can't remeber their name though, I think they are/were
HUGE in Germany

I'll join Iz in the weeping room. :urff:
Safe to say I do not like this at all.

Doesn't help that this is one of my favourite Sisters songs.

One of the other songs on there, Bruder, is hilariously poor. Wait till it gets 2 mins in.

Lights is one of my favourite Sisters songs, but this is so cheezeey I couldn't help but find it funny. It was either laugh or cry and personally, I'd rather laugh.

I thought Scooter were major cool, for some reason.

This one sounds vaguely 242-ey to me. I find myself kinda enjoying it.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

How dare you disregard the moment of Germany´s pop culture that was reminding the stoned kiddies that there are environmental issues?
I´m shocked.

This song is truly worth a listen. Hilarious.

I´ve heard the songs now..
Umm..
Lights is ruined, and the rest is ruminated stuff that wasn´t good when still fresh.
Edit: That song named "brother" has a few good ideas in it, I think. A slight grower.

If I were German and wanted to sing, I would do it in German. Nothing
wrong with Rammstein I Say.
