visiting hamburg 2007

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

now then,

i am bringing a coach party of 16 people to visit hamburg in august for a week.

can anyone recommend some accomodation in hamburg please. hotels/houses/apartments etc are what we are looking for.

town centre/suburbs are good. merciful release type independent budget, rather than warners style.

weve done the hard bit - getting into falkenstein golf club ( think von might be a country member - ill have a look when we are there & check his handicap).

any advice/info welcome.

apologies if this has been covered before, if it has, could you guide me to the link please.

many thanks

mr thorburn.

As for cheap accomodation: the place to stay in is Hotel Stern. It's right on the Reeperbahn, at the far end of it, just around the corner from Grosse Freiheit (where The Sisters usually play). And if you walk up from there in the direction of the stadium (Millerntor?) on the right side of the street you'll find a pub, called "Jever" (as the beer) and there you can have the best cheap food ever.

I love Hamburg! :notworthy:
You can't fix stupid.
