Program to Rip You Tube Videos

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

It does exist and there was a thread about it a while ago. While I am at work I have no time to give it a search. Somebody else might... :)

There's also a 'VideoDownloader' plugin for Firefox, which rips from YouTube.

You have plugins for that available if you use Firefox, yes.
You can pick the flash files from the temporary files of Windows of you use that (Phut!) Internet Explorer.
You do need a player that is able to handle flash files, Media Player Classic and VLC LAN Player for example. They usually handle awfully, but do their job.
When saving the files you have to rename them to something with .flv as extension, so your pooter knows how to handle then.

Explaining is done faster than searching one of the three or four threads we had on that. ;D

I use "Unplug", a plugin for Firefox, very small-ish and works together with other downloaders as well...

Of course, all video from YouTube is in Flash Video format, so you also need the FLV player or an FLV plugin to play them.

Yes, but you can just ask me nicely to send you the MP3 versions of our songs, you know that, Barry. ;)
