we do these every so often, mainly when a lot of users have similar usernames

today we have another...

at his request, "burn" is now known as "Andie" (as it is in real life, so it is on heartland )

just so you know.

don't you all go getting any fancy, highfalutin ideas about changing your own usernames though. this kind of thing causes no end of hassle for the weeding moderators ;) :innocent:

we only do it in special cases. and as i'm sure he will confirm, Andie is a special case ;)

Well, as long as we're talking about changes... I've noticed a whil eback that once I'm over 400 posts, my posting count was reset to somewhere around the 350 mark. This has happened twice now. As I'm again about to cross that bridge for the third time, I would like to know if it'll happen again, just to be prepared... :P

That's to do with the fact that once a Currently reading / listening / eating / whatever thread gets to 1000 posts (more or less) it goes into the trash. And threads in the trash disappear after a week, taking all your posts on them too.

Moral of the story: Don't post on the currently threads unless you like your post-count going up and down like a yoyo. 8)

This is where I usually crack my 'Whatever-happened-to-that-nice-Red-Sunsets-chap?' gag.

I won't bother this time.
