When your heroes let you down

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Could a small technical failure not have been too much to ask for??

Rangers manager Walter Smith told the club's website: "I know their stuff quite well.

"I remember going to meet the band when they played in Edinburgh a few years ago.

hmmmm its a shame when stars of yesteryear end up second-rate but carry on in the vain hope of reclaiming some of their past glories. You go to see them not so much for what they do now, but to reminisce of better times gone by.

and as for that Mr Dickinson..... :innocent:

Interesting thread title.

Someone said in another thread "never meet your heros, you won't like them and they probably won't like you"

Who agrees?

I personally think there is a grain of truth in this. I think if your gonna idolise a rock star, its best to idolise what you want them to be, not just "some bloke who can sometimes write songs (but not in your lifetime)" This counts double for dark genres like goth (and as much as I hate to compare them) black metal. If you want a church burning psycho do you really want to hear about a Tolkien obsessed nerd afraid to talk to girls? If you want a dark love god in velvet and dry ice, do you really want a nervous cockney fella'?

If this is wandering too off topic just shout "shut up!" :)
Nationalise the f**king lot.

That was Quiffy, I think :?:

Read something similar in an article about a KLF fan who'd loved them since he was about 13, he finally met them, and they couldn't help noticing he looked disappointed, but they knew why.

FWIW, I wish Gary Marx would reply to PMs after reading them. :|
