FGG goes Holland!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Thanks, it looks like the best "warm-up before" kinda thing, splashed with an element of surprise and still a pity that we four aren't sharing that bottle together tonight...

Him 'n Sam will be doing fine, I'm sure. And I'm thinking more along the lines of IZ having to fight off the Bunnymum in order to get to the groupies...

Yes, I fought her off ;D

Although I didn't want to, because she's soooo luverly :notworthy:

She and Jos are very nice peeps and I was GLAD to meet them! Sam came to the backstage telling me the Butterfly had arrived, "a somewhat timid looking pretty lady"

Well in the sight of all that rock stardom she night have been a little tense, but it did not last very long or she was hopping around us chatting away!

Still have to see the pichoors of the lil' uns tho, Debs ;)

Then, the gig, it went very well, apart from the backing track volume. The PA peeps put up everything to 11 and couldn't boost the sound more than a 'normal' listening volume. Very weird then, that the other bands had a booming sound, and even the music in between bands was louder than our backings... Also the vocals were too soft, makes one wonder what they use as PA-people nowadays

Then again, it was a nice set, had good comments all over.

It also saw the appearance of two strangers to most of you, being Dave, our live VJ, and Niels, our guitarist.
Both did an excellent job, and it was, as James stated, a great rehearsal for next week.

Setlist: Ossetian Ossuary, Le Jugement Du Roi En Jaune, Dogged, Love Your Terrorist, Dawn Over Dachau and the new song Distress.

The other bands were also very good, Rome was cool, and they were very nice blokes. Had a long chat with the men in the backstage. The Protagonist was super, with some minor probs in the beginning of the gig (beer problems ;D)

Now, off to bed, just had a hot milk/honey/sugar/whiskey mixture to soften my throat ache, hopefully it will be better next week...

Ta!

Islanders is all well and good, you are getting a full force Nac Mac Feegle attack. I fear you lowlanders are not up to it.

We constantly complain and the weather is never right. Johnny Foreigner's music does seem to calm us, tho. Strange. :|

Looks like I'm getting an cheap 'otel in Leuven, BTW.

Shite happens. :|
