Body Electric 112bpm

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Just had this blasting out of the stereo on the way to work (ancient tape of the Hamburg 01 gig), I'd completely forgotten how stonking it is. Definitely needs reintroducing into the live set, Mr :von: , it's perfect because, well, it's so damn good, but also :von: can sing it happily with his lower than low register these days, no screaming or screeching required.

The beat is thundering around my head as we speak 8)

Whaddya think boys and girls?

Any evidence of it to be found online, soundwise? :innocent:

No idea Zeno, but it was definitely played at the 2nd London gig, and one of the Hamburg gigs (a quick saunter through the tours site should reveal all) in 2001. :D

Yep, I love it too. I still watch it on that London DVD regularly. (C&B comes first though  )

That 2nd London night was the premiere of it I think.

I didn't think much of it, I prefer the power and speed of the 1992 version 8)

1st time at Forum was a bit WTF? but it was quite jolly in Hamburg :)

The 92 version rules (even though it still lacked the descending bassline bit)

The 82 version rules, if truth be told, but the point is that ain't happening no more, and the 112bpm should be played live.

Menace x 10,000 (or Doom BE as Iz accurately pointed out).

Definitely. I was wondering why the current line-up won't play it... either version is stonking. Period.
