Body Electric 112bpm

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Joy Division covered Sister Ray too.

i know VU did it originally (i have it on vinyl! of couse!) but
EIGHTEEN BLOODY MINUTES????!!!!
at least the JD version you hear IC mumble a few words at the end which was a rarity as he never really spoke on stage, nevermind having a bit of a laugh with the crowd!

cheers for the d/l's -i've got it on a dvd but with sh!t sound.

of course the best version is the body and soul 12" version....and it confuses the f**k out of me when they only do each verse once.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Take a -1, the original RULES! :D
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

 I utterly love this version - it reaches the parts the faster versions can't reach :D Of the 'regular' versions, I think my favourite is the Body & Soul 12" veersion but there's demo version on the Kenny Giles CD that I really like too. It's that stunning bassline that does it. :notworthy:

....and thats what its all about, differences of opinion help make the world go round. the fact that if anyone in the world disagrees with me is irrelevant!
