Can anyone help?
I have a load of files that I have downloaded. The first one has the extension .rar and then the others sort of follow on in the format;
.r00
.r01
.r02
...
.r17
and then I have a .nfo file.
My rar unpacker program will only look at the .rar file.
What am I supposed to do with the rest?
Yours thickly...
Rar...

Just extract the files from the .rar file, and it'll automatically unpack the rest of them.
It's all split between them, you see, so when you extract from the .rar, it adds the data from .r01, .r02 etc.

On a Mac? I've no idea...

I Googled for 'rar Mac files' and found one called RAR Expander that I'm trying out right now.

Strange, that's what's meant to happen.. when I'm given evaluation copies of games, software and videos, that's how they're transferred.limur wrote:Dark wrote:Just extract the files from the .rar file, and it'll automatically unpack the rest of them.

Maybe the NFO file would tell you, use DAMN NFO Viewer to read them.

to read NFO files, just change the extension to .txt, or set TextEdit (or your favorite text editor) to open them by default using Get Info on your .nfo file.

NFO files are just text files, you can also open/read them in Notepad

Yeap, and most crackers use the NFO extension to fool people; they usually contain the method for installing the software and some thnaks to fellow crackersRise&Reverberate wrote:NFO files are just text files, you can also open/read them in Notepad
