Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.
You're a Denial Goth! You are so not Goth. In fact you're Post-Punk/Darkwave/Whatever lesser-known synonym for goth is popular this week. Give it up, it's obvious you're a Goth.
Whatever that test says ... it's rubbish. i scored highly but have no tolerance, patience, or sensibility for what goth is all about. i hate vampires, i hate bela lugosi, i hate bats (well i love bats as animals but as mystical creatures of the night? f**k off), and most of all i hate pseudo-eldritch-type singing, unless it's me doing it...and then it's not pseudo-eldritch-type but just accidentally a bit similar.
EDIT: Quite, well now that i actually did the test (it seems 'scored highly', which was an approximation of my estimated 'score', doesn't mean much!), i got 'denial goth'. But i've seen goths on tv and hate them.
And Rush is quite right, actually i like Bela Lugosi, too. i just hate the bloody song. i truly do.
Thanks, SINsister. And i'm never funnying than when i'm being absolutely honest and truthful, in the opinion of most people here.

Whaddaya know: I too am a Denial Goth. (I'm also pissed that you can like more than one film but not more than one author, but that's another story...). And apparently I have Normal Eyebrows and all.

Among my DJ friends Bela Lugosi's dead has become the emergency song they play when they have to use the bathroom and get a beer, and therefore need a long song they don't want to hear.
Can't say I'm fond of it either. I was always more about TSOM and The Damned than Bauhaus.

You're a Rivethead! You probably get pissed off when people call you goth, but realise that most of the world doesn't even make the distinction between the two very similar cultures. You revel in the decadence of the computer age and like to pretend that you could actually survive in a post-apocalyptic world.
