Yeah, so I'm always the last kid on the block to get the new/good stuff ("helps" to live here in the States, wheee! ), but thanks to a very kind (and not at all fiendish) person, I just now got to hear it in all its glory. BRILLIANT. O, mfg.

Never Land? Wasn't that the song they were playing on the space shuttle Columbia back in 03?SINsister wrote:Yeah, so I'm always the last kid on the block to get the new/good stuff ("helps" to live here in the States, wheee! ), but thanks to a very kind (and not at all fiendish) person, I just now got to hear it in all its glory. i've said it before and i'll say it again whenever i have the chance. It's the best poem i've ever heard and the interpretation and the song do it justice.
we've got beer and we've got fuel
I only heard the Fragment version so far, but Floodland will be droppin' in soon, so that won't last long
My question: are there more lyrics after "Tear it up and watch it fall" ?
Since Itnaklipse here is referring to a poem...
(PS..just heard the Flood Twins for the first time...damn I'm enchanted, Floodland really is their finest O.o )

You sound just like I did a year or two ago, when I first bought some Sisters CDs, Tidal.
I'd go all "in my day.." on you, but you appear to be 2 days older than me.
There are more lyrics, but I've not bought the reissues, so I don't know them.

There's loads more lyrics in the Full Length version, before and after "I had a face on the mirror..."

Never land
....
And will the earth break your fall
And will the hurt break your will
And the heartbreak be over
It will
We are coming down
We fall.. hand in hand in hand in hand
We are coming down but we will
Never never land
I had a face on the mirror
I had a hand on the gun
I had a place in the sun and a ticket to Syria
I had everything within my reach
I had money and stuff
Each and every call
Too much but never enough
Tear it up and watch it fall
We are coming down
We fall… hand in hand in hand in hand
We are coming down but we will
Never never land
With our backs to the sky
And our eyes on the ground
With the clouds far below
No horizon around
With the wind in our face
And our arms open wide
We will pass through this place
…to the other side
All the days of our lives
All the ways of our calling
Fall
I had a face on the mirror
I had a hand on the gun
I had a place in the sun and a ticket to Syria
I had everything within my reach
I had money and stuff
Each and every call
Too much but never enough
Tear it up and watch it fall

Best song I have heard in an eon.
as the day is long,
rain from heaven
rain from heaven
And by that do you mean Floodland is not their finest and I will learn to appreciate their pre-FALAA songs because im supposedly naive with sisters songs right now, or do you mean you were just as enchanted as I was when you bought heard the Sister's best for the first time and still think they are great?Dark wrote:You sound just like I did a year or two ago, when I first bought some Sisters CDs, Tidal.

I was impressed by SGWBM (when I thought it was an album, not a compilation!) and especially Floorshow and Damage Done.. then Anaconda grew on me.
Personally I think the first two singles are great, Dominion and Marian are awful, and the lyrics less important than the way they're sung. I'm a minority, and not a well-looked-upon one.

Speaking of which, Most of the time it seems people buy cvompils and then start to buy individual albums.itnAklipse wrote:Hah, no difference between an album and a compilation? Bwahah.
In my case, it is offtimes the other way around.
I first bought all the Sisters releases, and then bought SGWBM and ASCOOB. Those were nice enough compils IMO and it saved me the work of making my own Best Of
Same goes for Tiamat, for example.

I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.
