Heavy as Fuck!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Calling brideoffrankenstein for some crushingly raw unadultered heavy as hell grimness.

Carcass

They sound ridiculous, but they are heavy as fcuk. Sound a bit like a tractor driving through a swimming pool of mashed potato.

One thing's for sure, at least for me, best albums, Sisters aside, always have the worst production. Often intentionally. So whilst the Crew may sound heavy, it's all bloated like dough for bread and without substance.

Neil Young has a fantasticly crunchy version of "Powderfinger" on Live Rust, although for sheer guitars that sound like flames roaring out of your speakers, the winner there is the electric "My My Hey Hey" (or whatever it's called).

My recent Spiritualized listening also recommends "Any Way That You Want Me". It starts off typical enough, but then lurches into a total headbanging frenzy for about 5 minutes (complete with cheesy "woo woo" backing vocals).

Finally, and I know you don't like Spacemen 3 (which I intend to do something about soon...) but I have to mention the mighty "Things'll Never Be The Same". Or "Starship". Or "Take Me To The Other Side".
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Good call, even though "My my, hey hey (out of the blue)" is the folky, acoustic version. The electric version is "Hey hey my my (into the black)".
The live album Weld is very heavy too.

And this is Motörhead's heaviest in my opinion :

See? I'm trying to help, in spite of my ignorance (and errant proggie ways ;P)!
