Cryptic Flowers lp boot

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Was listening to the Cryptic Flowers bootleg lp the other day.

It says on it 'recorded Germany November 1984' and has been identified previously as 8th November at the Bremen Schlachthof.

However when compared with the Before Darkness CD boot, the last two tracks on the lp don't appear to be from this gig at all: BD has Ghostrider/Sister Ray, but CF has Sister Ray, which appears to end, but then kicks into Louie Louie after a short fade.

So which is correct? No gig tracklisting i have ever seen lists the SR-LL encore, although the sound of these tracks is similar to the rest of the CF lp (which is definitely from the correct gig).

Does anyone have the complete gig? I think Emma and A Rock And A Hard Place are the only two tracks which are missing from the combined I Can't Wait...; Before Darkness and Cryptic Flowers boots.

Interesting! I have the black vinyl, and compared it against the Before Darkness cd, and all but the last two are from Bremen 08/11/84. I shall compare with Possession, but I don't think that Sister Ray and Louie Louie are from there, as they don't seque in together exactly, and Ghost Rider is missing.

Black vinyl here too, but I always understood there was selections from maybe three concerts on it?

There's definitely 3 very distinct sounds there, anyway.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
