Her voice *rules*. I've been missing that female vocal style for a long time (hence my penchant for male vocalists, almost exclusively). Kick.arse.

Thanks for the rec (I know it wasn't intended for me, but still) - listening to the "Orange Canyon Mind" album, now.

How much more rock can you get than "Killed by Death"? I mean, that's like...being killed, you know, but, like, by Death (which is so much more rock than being killed by bus).bushman*pm wrote:if its motorhead surely it must be snaggletooth?

Great choice, but I'd say to go for "Detox" as well as those or, indeed, instead of those two.canon docre wrote:James, may I recommend to you again the fine tunes Velvet Kevorkian and All Hail the New Flash by the one and only Strapping Young Lad? Nothing is heavier in this world.
SYL are fanbl00dytastic and Devin is one of the nicest guys you could meet.
Yep, as Canon says, you do have to get some Strapping on there......

You want heavy? Proof that the 'head is 'arder and 'eavier than any element known to man...

"When you're dealing with a warhorse like Lemmy, it's not easy to discuss typical normal healthy things, such as a balanced diet and proper fluid intake," Motörhead manager Todd Singerman explained in a statement issued Tuesday afternoon (July 5). "Look, one time when I spoke to him about the importance of vegetables in a diet, he looked me straight in the eye and said, 'What are you talking about, Todd? These [potato chips] here are part of the vegetable food group.' So imagine telling him he needs to drink more water because it's a crazy hot summer in Europe — although in fairness to Lemmy, he did start making an effort by adding extra ice cubes to his Jack and Coke."

As far as rock quotes go, they don't come heavier than this one:EvilBastard wrote:You want heavy? Proof that the 'head is 'arder and 'eavier than any element known to man...

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Just discovered Arkona, a Polish black/death/melodic/symphonic metal band... not a fan of 99 out of 100 bands like this but they have a female singer who goes between really good clean vocals (not the usual wispy waily sub-operatic stuff that you get off of symphonic or "gothic metal" bands.... which for the record are neither gothic nor metal IMHO but I digress...) and a growl which would knock spots off most male vocalists in that genre.
