... I still have 4 years to release my own masterpiece.Ozpat wrote:So?

I always thought of him as an old git, but now realised the Sisters had their best years in their twenties, and wasted their life bringing out nothing from their thirties on to Eldritch's current 48 (which is still young, but I saw a live vid of him recently and his hair was all grey?! he looked like he was 60 or something)
It's good to be back

What hair would this be, then...?Tidal wrote:I saw a live vid of him recently and his hair was all grey?!

and i've got two years yet to start my own Sisters
Indeed. He was younger than most of us are now and he was already a genius. An experienced, ripe, mature genius.Tidal wrote:...I just realised Eldritch was 28 years old when he made Floodland
And he was just a young kid when he made Alice, Lights, Afterhours...
and already a genius too. It's scary, isn't it. I tell you, either he's an alien or a Capricorn.

I'm a year older than H to He Who Am the Only One, sorry no classics so far...

So they are, but they wouldn't have to be - it's a choise, semi-conscious or otherwise. And i wouldn't exactly call most women mature, either.

Well.... I am not male and I am still listening to music that I listened to in my teens... I don't have a problem with it. Find what works and stick to it I say
I want to blast out Floodland when I am in an Old Peoples Home, whacking folk with my walking stick and telling them how in my day...
Grow old disgracefully people!

The thing is, I was refering to the way we see our lives here on earth, not to the kind of music we choose to listen to.splintered thing wrote:Well.... I am not male and I am still listening to music that I listened to in my teens... I don't have a problem with it.
But I don't want to derail this lovely thread any further so I'll try to get back on topic. Eldritch was 324 years old when he was in fact 23, and now as he's in fact 48 (OMG, he is, the poor thing ) he seems cheerful and playful just as if he were 20. You know - the hip-hop clothes, the bragging about his intimate life... It's strange, isnt't it.

Robert Smith published Pornography aged 24.
Bret Easton Ellis wrote American Psycho aged 26.
Ian Curtis hung himself when he was 23.
This kind of info always gives me shivers.

Actually that's 23. And he wrote and recorded the album at the tender age of 22.dinky daisy wrote:Robert Smith published Pornography aged 24.
17 seconds and Faith weren't bad either.

Hey, it was me who wrote that he's genius. Tidal just mentioned his age. Tidal has yet to come to the conclusion that I came to long ago.Norman Hunter wrote:<Splutters coffee>Tidal wrote:He was younger than most of us are now and he was already a genius

The only reason why I'm pointing this out is that I have no idea what the Man Utd comment's supposed to mean. My knowledge about Man Utd is limited, all I know is that its fans resemble mice.
