THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
I'm stuck in my teens *and* I'm an alien (not going to discuss the genius bit, because what's on paper means nothing when nothing's come of it, imho). No records yet; stay tuned...

Mice?
My point was/is his alleged "genius" is severely flawed due to his allegiance to Man Utd. Planet Dave will understand - when he finishes eating his cheese

How very odd. Still, spot the leeds fan and his unhealthy obsession with a club he doesn't even support. Firm city territory is that , Norm. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Give over - you miss us, go on admit it to yourself
How the Stilton?
Anyway, I promise I'll not derail this one any further.

Nah, dear _emma_ we know he's not Capricorn, although I understand how you would think as much!
Von an alien, hmmm....looking at his profile with close examination of nose and ears....nah....he's too pretty for alien imo.
But he has a grasp to a certain way of looking at life that I think appeals to us all. It would be interesting to know how he sees life now though, or maybe that's what the future album may reveal?...
Oh and I don't think has to worry about catching any lice or nits for that matter....
it's all about circles and spirals
that ongoing eternity
I've always been wondering how Eldritch can keep making masterpieces, although he is the ONLY constant factor in the band?!?!?! he only does vocals and lyrics, so how can such a different setting of group members still produce "the" Sisters feeling?

Because he can also play guitar (he's playing the main guitar riff on the original version of ToL) and bass and keyboards.
And as Dr. Moody pointed out, he's rather good with sequencers.
Oh yeah, and he's a perfectionist too.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

You'd be surprised at how much of the music was both written and played by Von. Easily a good 50% written by him overall, and definitely much much more in the early (pre-FALAA) days.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

The same way the conductor of the Wiener Philharmoniker pulls it off, apparently...

What exactly's wrong with that, anyway? I can't stand boring old farts!
That's as well, cos the Leeds HL Contingent is full of them.
(by which I mean males stuck in their teens, not boring old farts, god forbid, we'd never be accused of that)
And not just males either, as the stunning and groovy Ms Orange showed with her ace Ms Banshee look the other week. Killing Ja-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r? What Killing Jar-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r?

Emotionally mature, spiritually experienced and mentally grown-up doesn't equal "boring old fart". In fact I've known quite a few examples of boring old farts who are still stuck in their teens.
Oh and - forgot to add - amongst the 1% the majority are Sisters fans, of course.
