G*D, those places are lovely! They'd probably give me a panic attack, because they're "exposed" with no trees in sight...but still. Beautiful. Thanks, Iz!

Throw me on a desert island with the writings of Heraclitus, Parmenides, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Kant, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Shestov, Husserl, Heidegger, Sartre, Foucault and William Burroughs and I'll be happy. Oh, and make sure there's a Deborah Harry, mid-30s, that never ages and does whatever I tell it to.

Oh, and did I mention I’d also require a copy of Station to Station by David Bowie and an unlimited supply of Fresca?

Here's some pictures I took when I was flying back over the Alps (possibly my favourite region of this planet) from Florence, just after Nieuwjaar this year...
And also the West Highland Way ! For the non-Scots, this is a path that starts in my end of town and quickly goes out, up through woodland and over moors, past Loch Lomond and up to Fort William in the Higlands (about 90 miles long, I believe). I often go up the first 5 or 10 miles of it as it's so close to me. And I can see this hill, Dumgoyne, from my bedroom window...

Coming from a chap who appears to know his way around camera rather well, I'll take that as a compliment .Carpathian Psychonaut wrote:Damn, you're good !

I am also available for weddings, bar mitzvahs, and Anton-Corbijnesque photos of pretentious Heartland gents posing in the Art Deco tunnels of Antwerp...

I did have a reindeer fillet last year when I was in Sweden. And I have to say, it was a meal so delicious that it probably warrants inclusion in this thread...scotty wrote:You mean Venison ...............there is room on this Planet for ALL Gods Creatures..................................right next to the Mashed Potatoesboudicca wrote:... ...however, it was also about 70 of your best Euros for me alone , so on second thoughts it probably doesn't!

As to the world, apart from the lack of equine steaks, I think we need cliffs.
They are wonderful things to provide great views and the crashing of waves - all of natures beauty and power in collision. They are also a great thing on a cloudy day for dramatic piccies, thus:-
