Getting to know you...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Sorry Sinny...gotta ask...

Which balloon are you refering to?...the Purple shinny one or the Bloke sitting next to you?
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

I was speaking to a lady in a club the other day.

She said "my son was in your year at school"

And I say "oh, cool, how odd....mum"

And she said " I'm old to enough to be your... "

EDIT
I found your birthday....mum

no disrespect intended, you take a lovely picture, lovely enough for me to place you at mid twenties at the oldest.

You ROCK, child. Because makeup actually makes me look *older*, even now! Insane, innit? And when I was your age, I wasn't even cute (imho)!

Ahhhh, the irony - and the effin' tragedy. :von:

Not horrifying...

When I am your age i intend to

b) rock out like I was half my age

 *That is illogical, Captain.*

But, since you insist - try smoking a lot, drinking heavily, using copious amounts of illicit substances, and hanging out in the sun as often as possible, without sunscreen. That might help you on your way...

I keep reading this thread title and breaking out into a chorus of "Seedy Films".

That's me in my avatar, on the right. The only vaguely good picture of us at a gig. There's a video on the MySpace from the last gig, but it's of poor quality.

Ok here goes...

first the pics:

Me at our alternative wedding celebration

..and me with my daughter

Aged 32, born in Luton and back living in Luton after 3years at Bath Uni in the early 90's. I work as a customer services manager for a software company - looking after support and training services.

I Am Married to Anna - who was born in Bradford but raised just outside Ilkley, and recently became a proud daddy to baby Katie.

No real relevance to the Avatar (for those who dont know - look HERE!) - I was short of ideas and this was the first amusing pic I found when I registered.

Nice idea for a thread btw.....and it seems we are all beautiful people!!!!

(and Sin - dont worry.....you dont look a day over 36  )

Yes, before you ask, it's just the one from The Gallery pages but it's very much me and that's the point.

Stupidly concise ThingAboutMe goes like this:

Born in Shropshire, lived there for many years, moved oop north to Gateshead area where I am now. Main passion in life is music and I must have it. Hearing new stuff is an addiction of sorts for me.

Other things I need in my life are good films, Absinthe, oriental food, art (both contemporary and classic) and knowing that if a chance comes round to help somebody then I take it. Oh, and I don't mind knowing I'm loved either. The gooey me inside the eggshell appreciates that at times.

39 years in two very short paragraphs. Bit scary, isn't it.......

EDIT: On re-reading what I typed last night I can also now append that I'm obviously quite happy to tell total strangers (relatively) deep set things about myself. Ho hum.

I've always wanted to grow into the "elegantly wasted" look but I'm sure it would come off as "a bit knackered"

Well deserved, naturally. Image

*ahem* anyway, I really need to find some old photos of myself "back in the day". I'm too lardy these days. Image
