I'll be posting daily updates on this thread. For now, suffice it to say I drove hard, SMIRF drove his bike hard, I delivered the Kasteelbier to an ecstatic mate who was nice enough to let me crash at his place until we got into the appartment, where we are now.
Going out for a bite to eat now and have our first drinks later with some friends... The real stories are to follow tomorrow, after our first hangover one Union beer (and many more to come)...

I prophesy disaster

i prophesy a hangover
I don't wanna live like I don't mind
I prophesy multiple hangovers... First observation : the Slovene version of Mexican food is very guid and cheap. And plentiful. Don't order tapas and a main course unless you haven't eaten in 48 hours. My stomach is still trying to digest it all...

I prophecy the building of an iron fence or a thick concrete wall around the whole of Slovenia when ARF leaves there.

Sounds like Hungary (no pun intended).
People TELL you to eat here.
They don't really ask you.
& if you go to a proper Hungarian restaurant, then prepare to be stuffed.

Before or after I crossed the Avstrian (yup, when in Rome, type like the Slovenes ) border?Izzy HaveMercy wrote:I prophecy the building of an iron fence or a thick concrete wall around the whole of Slovenia when ARF leaves there.

Well, it IS bordering Hungary in the northeast, isn't it? And that eating - and drinking thing - you're no wrong, man. Whenever I come here, the people I know absolutely STUFF me. My friend Mirko invited us to go and have drinks at Orto Bar in a few hours (Orto being a real Rock 'n Roll bar). Looks like some prophecies will come true with immediate effect...Pista wrote:Sounds like Hungary (no pun intended).

And Brer James, the appartment doesnae look like a pyramid either...
(It's smack dab in the center of Ljubljana, though, with everything within walking distance)

Wait - so when I finally get my arse over to the correct side of The Pond, will there be anything for me to eat? I don't do foodstuffs with hooves anymore, and I'm working on cutting out the bokbok and the swimswim as well...

A bit lardy for my own personal tastes, but y'all could've guessed thatJames Blast wrote:although you can't read the type, this is an album called 'Heroes are hard to come by'
(actually, I'm not even joking - he's only standing funny, he's not that thin... next!)
I am so envious of you at the mo, Raf. Can you please bring me back a super-crappy souvenir? It doesn't have to cost a penny, just use your imagination (i.e. a beermat or something )
And tell Laibach I said hi, hope they intend on getting back on form after the disaster that was "Volk"
