Heartland T-shirt?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Since we're all (or atleast most of us) going to Rock Zottegem, it seemed like a good idea to me to wear a HL shirt. Problem is, I don't have one. So I was told to ask Quiff Boy about it, did so, been a week, not heard anything from him. So can anyone else tell me what's the deal about those shirts?

OUCH! 11 POUNDS... that's more than the Zottegem entry ticket :urff:

Think I'll pass on that, rather craft my own Heartland Shirt with a blank one then

Bootleg HL shirts? Whatever next? 11 pounds seems very reasonable to me, for a decent quality shirt has to be ordered in relatively small quantities due to limited demand. Saying that, I've never actually ordered one myself :innocent:

I bought Motorhead flip flops for 25 Euro's so a t shirt for that price, reasonable.

You don't but the shirt but the feeling that goes with it.

But who wants to be a pervert to celebrate nerdiness :-)

I did nearly bite at Tidal's "11 POUND. OUCH" comment but managed to restrain myself. The tees are top quality with back/front print and I'm still wearing my 2003 (or was it 2004?) first print. 8)

Maybe Tidal prefers to pay £20 for a tee at a gig that turns out to be crappy quality?

But I totally agree with DD that we're buying into a community and the ethos and cache, that goes with it. :von:

It's not that I don't think it will be good value. But I have maximum expenditures. I cannot just put down 11 pounds for a t-shirt AND go to a 20 euro festival (which is, on the other hand, propably very good value  )
I wouldn't have gone to the festival if it would have been 50 euros. I want the shirt, but not for 11 pounds. Hell, I could buy FALAA for that price!

You could get it on vinyl for so much cheaper, in a nice gatefold sleeve. ;)

The HL t-shirt ?!

Me want one baaaad ! ;D

Seriously (as if...), regarding the HL tee, it's a very nice piece of clothing that you'll be sporting veeeery proudly. 8)

And FYI, last time I checked, £11<20€. :innocent:

True. But the vinyl version is cellphone pics of a PC screen of the original designs and therefore poor quality. Though the artwork for the gatefold sleeve is genuine.

Higher up the foodchain you will find the CD version of the final design ripped first gen from the printers HD, with the bonus home video of Barry mulling over the final copy, coupled with the complete audio collection of his phone calls to the printers. 8)

But I guess that'll stay with the few. :von:

All the cool kids prefer vinyl these days.

£5 :innocent:

I am certainly not cool, but I prefer vinyl...
I am very attractive, is that the same as cool?

As for the shirt. I will buy one for the next sisters gig, without a doubt, or if I manage to go the summer meet up. :D

I smell a tricksy scam going on ere.Looks to me like Quiff boy and Tidal are working together perhaps to clear out the spare room that's packed to the ceiling in small tee shirts.
