Why do we (and I include myself in this) talk to those bloody Spambots that come on here?
Am I mistaken in assuming that who or what-ever makes these posts promising unlimited ebony annal sxx and free money if you're a criminal isn't going to be reading our responses telling 'em to shove it up their spammy arse (which they'd probably find a market for, if it could be filmed ).
How many minutes of our precious lives, then, do we waste responding to those posts?
As said I've done it too, and, you know... if it helps to let of steam or something... but it does baffle me somewhat.
In addition, I'm not quite sure why they do it at all - has anyone ever bought anything as a result of some spam post or email?
Don't mind me I'm just discombobulated by the modern world
Pourquoi?
Mainly to keep them at the top of the page so the mods can see them easier.
Plus it's kinda amusing for an idle half minute.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

TBH, I generally use the "view posts since last visit" option so I'll see them anyway. But thanks.
I have heard of people buying stuff from spam; and anyway it costs so little that just one purchase from 100,000 spam message board posts is enough to make it worthwhile.
The further advantage for the spammers on here is that QB is paying for their bandwidth...

The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.
