Merry Summer Solstice!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

The really great thing is chaps, Debs isn't even kidding!
You go for it girl! ;D

I had to do this thread as I love the light nights we get Up Here (and to a lesser extent, even Down There) in summer. On a clear night I can see the Campsies (hills near Glesga to the uninitiated  ) silhouetted against a sky that never gets really dark. Sun to the North - fab 8)

At the recent McHeartland do it came to closing time and we (or at least I) didn't even realise it because the sky was not dark... ok possibly this also had something to do with the amount of bevvy consumed but.... :innocent:

Yeah, you were really putting it away weren't you?

And you may want to fix the spelling in your thread title, you're confusing the poor Germans...

Nice one Claire, something worth celebrating for a change. How come the shops ain't full of Summer Solstice cards? Don't answer that one.

Although its about as happy as a p1ss wet through day in Hell can possibly be. Twas ever thus, and all that.

@ Ramone - have y'all self a groovy time in the US. Although as a rule I find those city supporting muppets a joke, anything from the first album is perfectly acceptable, so credit to you on your quote mate 8)

I'm sure that would be great fun.

OTOH, if need be, then leave some clothes on to appease the police.
It's the thought that counts, you know...
