The War On Drugs...

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I confess, whilst I've been a fan of Sisters for years I only joined to find out more about the latest Sisters tracks being played live (which I believe are Summer and The War On Drugs). Does anyone know where they may be available to hear or download as I reckon the chances of Eldritch producing a new album or single is about as likely (and as welcome- in my eyes) as Birmingham City winning the Premiership

Hi and welcome!

10 years too late on Summer and War On Drugs - they've been in the set since 97.

The other "new" songs include (with apologies to any I've forgotten):

Come Together
(We Are The Same) Susanne
Romeo Down
Will I Dream
Slept (AKA I Have Slept With All The Girls In Berlin)
Top Nite Out (AKA Snub Nose)
Crash And Burn
Still

The Sharing section is a good place to start. Occasionally, a compilation of good recordings of these songs surfaces, so keep an eye out.

Also, the Official Site has a download of Susanne.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Oh its not their's, its an unofficial site ,but it has decent recordings of a few of their new songs. Other than that, mh's advice is spot on.
