I'm curious- not £200 worth of curious but I do wonder if its anything like Sisterhood which I adore just for Jihad and Finland.

I wouldn't blame him one bit if he wants to keep it to himself for a while but hopefully he'll give us a description of what it sounds like as so far those that have claimed to have heard it have told us nothing. Like, is it similar to SSV (i.e crap), does it have any Eldritch vocals or is it merely an instrumental, etc...road_kill wrote:...and won by a forum member who I'm sure will be sharing his booty with us soon.jande wrote:In the end it went for £170.
(and perhaps his purchase too... )
call me suspicious, but, if this was done in 1995, CD-rs were not commonplace, we had just got an early cd recordwe at work it was 3 and a half grand, and cdrs were about 15 quid a pop from canford audio, I know i bought 2 and had to wait 2 weeks fo one of them!!
The seller happened to have recently bought a pair of raybands.
Heres the theory.
Someone on here talks about a track, someone tells AE, he things, this wil be good for a laugh, Knocks someting up for a laugh, shoves it on ebay with a bit of papework, and sees how much people are prepared to pay for it.

so i'm not alone whit that kind of theory, good to know.
its a crappy cdr with homade artwork that comes from a recent dat source transfer into a mp3 and successively burned in. The contract is just just a xerox of an original thats its already in a good collection

Didn't you say you have this? Can you describe what it sounds like? (Or does it have it's own set of rules like Fight Club?) Is it a techno track like SSV, does it have any new vocals, or is it SSV remixed with added drums or something, or is it just an instrumental.taylor wrote:its a crappy cdr with homade artwork that comes from a recent dat source transfer into a mp3 and successively burned in. How can you tell it's fake just from looking at the ebay auction? It doesn't even say if it's vinyl or cd-r.allfear wrote:oh dear it would appear that The Happening has been done then, well if its basically a fake, then he can demand a refund.

And if the seller is Eldo himself then he can churn out as many as he wants without it being fake.
I said it would appear, from reading taylor's post above whos Info I trust above anyone else, he knows his stuff.Dan wrote:How can you tell it's fake just from looking at the ebay auction? Reading the contract, doesn't it look like some sort of promo/demo that Eldritch Boulevard (ie ) was sending out unsolicited to record companies to try to get a record deal? Which is why the pre-contract was already signed by him and would also suggest that more than one copy exists assuming he mailed a few? I guess someone at 'a record company' held onto it after it was rejected and has now made a buck.
Incidentally, the seller did confirm to me that the contract was original but not whether it was a cdr. Their reply was also timed/dated when the Sisters were on stage in Zottegem so I'm also guessing it isn't . Unless he spends his free time during Top Nite Out picking up his emails via the Dok.

just re reading this thread to amuse myself on a rainy friday afternoon.
taylor [who has the track(s) already] thinks the contract is a copy. the seller thinks the contract is original [as it's signed in ink] i guess he would know
please explain, i'm too dumb to figure it all out and none of it matches what i already know
